Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino Previews Its New Look
	Interior Designs Reflect a Totally New Direction for the Planet Hollywood Brand as Hollywood Comes to Vegas
Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino released a first look at the designs for the much anticipated renovations of the Aladdin. The exciting new interior drawings revealed today were created by Terry Dougall of Dougall Design and include renderings of the sleek new lobby, a complete transformation of the casino floor, the VIP check-in area, the Race and Sports Lounge, and a model of the retail shops. The remodel will begin in October and it will be executed in phases so that the property may remain open throughout the entire renovation process with minimal impact on the guest experience. The transformation of the Aladdin into the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2006. The new design, coupled with the expanded casino, soon to be announced new restaurant, nightclub, entertainment offerings, new retail outlets and the redesign of the property facade and pedestrian plaza, will create a dynamic and electrifying look for the entire complex and dramatically enhance guest access. "We are thrilled to be able to reveal to Las Vegas our plans for the new Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino," said Robert Earl, co-chairman. "As the designs clearly demonstrate, we have unveiled something spectacular, something unexpected. We are looking forward to starting the renovations and we will be making announcements in the coming weeks about fantastic new restaurants and clubs as we bring Hollywood to Vegas." The design team for the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino includes Dougall Design, Klai Juba Architects, and M.J. Dean Construction Inc., all well-known and accomplished firms with proven track records for Casino mega-resort projects. "I am confident that the team we have assembled for this unprecedented property remodel are the best in the business," said Michael Mecca, president of the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. "I have had the pleasure of working with Dougall Design, Klai Juba and M.J. Dean on other projects and I know that they are a winning combination for the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino." As part of a previously announced partnership with Clear Channel, the 7,000 seat Theatre for the Performing Arts will undergo an extensive face lift to enhance and modernize the venue, and work has already begun on a new 1,500 seat state-of-the-art showroom. Additionally, the property will boast new restaurants and nightclubs, renovated hotel suites and rooms, an expanded casino floor and a new Planet Hollywood Westgate tower that will feature 1,000 multi-room timeshare, condominium and hotel units. Working with Boulevard Invest, the property will create enhanced access points within the Desert Passage Shops, a vastly improved entrance on Harmon Avenue and a comprehensive redesign of the property facade and pedestrian plaza fronting onto Las Vegas Boulevard. "We have the pre-eminent location on The Strip and now, with today's reveal of our interior design plans, along with recent partnership announcements, we are prepared to deliver to Las Vegas the ultimate destination for entertainment, shopping and gaming," said Douglas Teitelbaum, co-chairman.
